SOME PUBLIC HEALTH ISSUES

Independent studies have shown major health issues for people who live near Incinerators – can the local authority and the health authorities afford the costs that will be incurred to treat these health problems?

The problem is the pollution coming out of the chimney stack and the toxic waste left over which is going to be landfilled on the site

The site has water courses underneath, as pointed out by OCC’s own consultants, which are therefore at risk of being polluted by the toxic waste being landfilled

The proposed toxic waste site is very close to houses in Sutton Courtenay and even closer to the proposed homes on the Amey site.

This area already has the most polluted air in Oxfordshire – it is irresponsible to expose us to further cumulated risk
